Services offered at The Wellness Center
We provide advanced spinal correction utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Yolaris Garcia has years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.
Acupuncture is a holistic health technique and is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Modern acupuncture treatments are effective in helping to alleviate pain and help treat various health conditions ranging from back pain, neck pain, nausea, migraines, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and more. These providers stimulate specific points on the body by inserting needles, moxibustion, acupressure, and may use Chinese herbs. Acupuncturists earn a 4 year graduate degree to enter their profession before being able to practice. Acupuncture improves the body's functions and promotes the natural healing process. Modern research has demonstrated the efficacy of acupuncture on the nervous system, immune system, cardiovascular, endocrine, and digestive systems.
Massage therapy offers a natural conservative treatment approach that relieves musculoskeletal pain for many patients. Our office provides specific massage and muscular therapy that is tailored to meet the patient's condition and injury. The benefits of massage therapy may include increasing blood circulation, reducing swelling, relaxing muscles, relieving muscle pain and spasms, and aid in recovery and range of motion.
Naturopathic Doctors have a 4 year doctorate degree and practice natural medicine in a wide variety of ways. At The Wellness Center, our ND's primary focus is on musculoskeletal health, alternative pain management, and regenerative medicine. As Primary Care Providers in the State of Oregon, however, ND's are able to diagnose and treat most ailments. In striving to 'Treat the Whole Person', we offer basic medical services to our patients in terms of screening blood work, STI testing, acute care for illnesses, and labs to rule out nutritional or vitamin deficiencies which may contribute to your pain or fatigue. Our ND also performs musculoskeletal ultrasound exams, injection therapy for pain management and regenerative medicine.
Regenerative Medicine at The Wellness Center takes form as Prolotherapy, Platelet Rich Plasma therapy, and Stem Cell therapy (which is generally combined with PRP). We offer these in the form of injection therapies, where we deliver nutrients, inflammatory components, concentrated blood components, and/or umbilical stem cells directly to tissues that have been damaged, degraded or injured. The goal of these therapies is to stimulate your body's immune response to come to the area and address the issue, as it would with a new injury. This can be particularly helpful in tissues that do not have their own rich vascular supply (tendons, ligaments, cartilage).
Nerve Conduction Studies
Nerve Electromyography works by measuring your body’s ability to receive and conduct nerve impulses in either the upper or lower body. It measures the quality of the nerve signals, and can help determine if there is a history of old injury, new damage or current impingement.
Spinal & Postural Screenings
Posture and spinal screenings can reveal important health information and unlock the door to improved health and well-being. We provide screenings at area malls, community events, health fairs and places of employment. Contact us today to arrange a screening at your event or workplace.
X-Rays: are taken on your first visit to evaluate the spinal curvature, joints, disc space, skeletal health and to look for any reasons it may be unsafe to do spinal adjustments.
Ultrasound exam: of the muscles and tendons to rule out inflammation, dysfunction or injury. This is performed by the Naturopathic Doctor, who also evaluates your needs for other services in the office and helps coordinate your care
We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.
